Lamborghini Urraco P250 shell in bare metal

Lamborghini Urraco, Part 2: Under the Paint

This is Part 2 of our Lamborghini Urraco restoration series. Missed Part 1? Read how we found the two cars in Sweden.

The green car came to us as an unfinished project, already partly stripped. The first job was to take the rest of it back to bare metal, so we could see exactly what we were dealing with.

The front end

Most of the trouble was at the front. Behind the outer panels we found rust in the inner structure, the wheel arches and the chassis legs, along with old repairs from earlier in the car's life.

Cutting it out

There was no saving the worst of it, so the rotten panels were cut out, ready for new metal.
