Lamborghini Urraco, Part 3: New Metal

This is Part 3 of our Lamborghini Urraco restoration series. Missed Part 2? See what we found under the paint.

Parts for an Urraco are hard to find. Most of what this car needed simply isn't available any more, so a lot of it had to be made by hand. One welcome exception was a new right front wing, which came from Lamborghini.

The structure first

Before any outer panel could go on, the inner structure had to be solid again.

Getting the shape right

An Urraco's nose is all curves, and every line had to flow into the next. The wings, light pods and front valance were fitted, adjusted and refitted until the front looked right from every angle.
