Returns and Refunds

This policy applies to purchases made by consumers (private individuals). Business customers, please see "Business customers" below.

Changed your mind?

You can return any item within 30 days of receiving it, for any reason. To start a return, email info@rareporscheparts.co.uk with your order number. You can also use the cancellation form at the bottom of this page.

You organise and pay for the return postage. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us, so we recommend a tracked and insured service.

What we refund depends on when you tell us:

  • Within 14 days of receiving your item (your legal right to cancel): we refund the price of the item and the standard delivery charge you originally paid. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the cost of our standard option only. Once you've told us, you have 14 days to send the item back.
  • From day 15 to day 30 (our extended return period): we refund the price of the item only. Delivery charges are not refunded. Please send the item back within 14 days of telling us.

We refund you within 14 days of receiving the item back, or within 14 days of you showing us proof of return if that's earlier. Refunds go to your original payment method.

Please return the item unused and in the condition you received it. You may handle and inspect it as you would in a shop. If the item has been fitted, modified or damaged, or its value has otherwise been reduced by handling beyond that, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.

Import duties or taxes you paid to a customs authority or carrier outside the UK were not paid to us, so we can't refund them. You may be able to reclaim them from your local customs authority.

Faulty, damaged or wrong items

If an item is faulty, damaged or wrong, we always cover the return postage. If you receive a refund, it includes the price of the item and the original delivery charge.

Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by this policy. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If an item is faulty, not as described, damaged in transit or the wrong item:

  • Within 30 days of delivery: you can reject it for a full refund of the item price and the original delivery charge.
  • After 30 days: we will repair or replace the item. If that isn't possible, or doesn't fix the problem, you can claim a refund or a price reduction.
  • Up to 6 years (5 years in Scotland): you can make a claim if the fault was present when the item was delivered.

Used parts: many of our parts are used, rebuilt or original old stock. Their quality is judged taking into account their age, the description and photos in the listing, and the price paid. Normal wear consistent with the listing description is not a fault.

Please inspect your order when it arrives and tell us about any problem as soon as you can, ideally with photos. This helps us sort it out quickly, but it does not limit your rights.

Labour costs: our remedy for a faulty part, including rebuilt and refurbished parts, is a repair, replacement or refund of the part as described above. We do not cover labour costs for fitting or removal, except where the law requires us to.

How to return an item

Email info@rareporscheparts.co.uk with your order number and, for faulty items, a short description and photos. We'll confirm which of our warehouses (UK or Hungary) to send it to.

Business customers

The consumer rights above do not apply to purchases made for business purposes. These include trade orders and orders invoiced to a company or with a VAT number. For business customers, returns are by agreement. Faulty-goods claims are handled under our Terms of Service.
