Oil lines are inconspicuous components, but in the event of a defect, can cause great damage. They connect for years the engine, oil cooler or the chain tensioner of the timing chain without appearing.
In the event of a crack / breakage, large amounts of oil leak out (possibly the entire contents of the oil tank) and the component is no longer reliably supplied with engine oil.
It is therefore advisable to replace the oil hoses or lines in case of obvious aging before damage can occur.
