This V-belt is for the air pump of the 911 engines. The so-called air injection is driven by this belt from the engine fan and served to improve the exhaust emissions. Not all Carrera models had this air pump installed, but only those for some foreign markets like Switzerland or Sweden. The associated engine code for the models in question is 930.26. Air pumps were often retrofitted to imported vehicles.
