The air conditioning compressor as well as the alternator are driven by the same belt on the 944. Accordingly, depending on your equipment, you will need different V-belts for your units on the 2.5L engine. The 924S as well as the 968 always have this V-belt installed. At the 944 the number of ribs changes between the early models before 05/85 and the facelift models after 06/85. The offered belt is only suitable for vehicles with air conditioning. The special equipment air conditioning has the Porsche M-code M573. The belt offered here is a so-called V-ribbed belt and is also called Poly-Rip belt at Porsche.
