The tool is a simple help to (dis)assemble the oil drain plug and oil filler plug on the Porsche transmission of 924S, 944 and 986. To the hexagon an ordinary open-end wrench is sufficient!
When the gearbox oil is changed after decades, the screws are correspondingly rusty and the hexagon socket rarely survives disassembly without damage. It is recommended that they be replaced when the transmission oil is changed.
