1988 Porsche 924S Le Mans edition
Here for sale we have our beautiful 1988 924S Le Mans Edition, finished in white with gold accents and an amazing grey and yellow pinstripe interior.
As a final celebration of the legendary 924 model range Porsche came out with the Le Mans edition in 1988, producing 74 units total with 37 finished in Black and 37 in alpine white. This being one of the 37 white.
This specific example has just come out of a 35 year long ownership with the same couple who have meticulously looked over it over the years.
Showing just over 72000 miles on the clock, the car has been garage kept over the past 35 years which has helped preserve paintwork and over all condition well. The car has no rust, and usual areas such bottom of the arches, battery tray, rear hatch catch area, and boot side pockets. Paintwork is in very good overall and seems all original, despite this, it is a 38 year old car and does have age related marks, with rock chips in the front badge panel and valance in particular.
Interior is in perfect condition, with reupholstered grey and yellow pinstripe sports seats. The dash does have cracks as common on the 924, however it isn’t badly cracked or excessively warped.
Mechanically the car is very good, and engine bay is in near showroom condition. Starts, drives, goes through all gears amazingly. The car suffers with no cold or hot start issues. Cam belt, balance belt with rollers and tensioners were done at the end of 2023 and the car has covered less than 1000 miles since.
The car comes with its original owners manual and service book, and a good amount of history from its previous owner documenting every single piece of work carried out throughout his ownership.
